Video Editor with Final Cut Pro X [AQ-10860]

<strong>Video Editor<br><br></strong><ul><li>Our Canadian client is looking to build a bench of Video Editors, available for project to project based freelance work and who are comfortable working in Final Cut Pro X. </li><li>Candidates for this role must be Canada based, (T4) </li><li>Fully remote, team works EST hours </li><li>Estimated start date: late August </li><li>Duration: open ended project to project work, 4 months to start </li><li>Hours per week will vary depending on project work load </li><li>Candidates for this role must be available to work from 9AM-5PM EST. (Completing assignments after hours or over the weekend is not an option) </li><li>Candidates for this role must provide their own laptop and their own Final Cut Pro X license. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Edit video content using Final Cut Pro X (FCPX), with a strong emphasis on creating high-quality motion graphics.</li><li>Collaborate closely with scriptwriters and other team members to understand the content and ensure a clear and engaging narrative.</li><li>Utilize Adobe Photoshop (PS) and Illustrator (AI) for graphic design and creation of visual elements.</li><li>Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines.</li><li>Stay up-to-date on the latest video editing trends and software advancements.</li><li>Utilize AI video editing software (Google Flow, Canva Magic Video, etc). Generate prompts for AI programs to create video clips and images, which will then be exported for further editing.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>5+ years of experience as a video editor, with a proven track record of creating compelling training content.</li><li>An absolute mastery of FCPX, including advanced editing techniques and motion graphics creation.</li><li>Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator, for graphic design and asset creation.</li><li>A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of visual storytelling principles.</li><li>The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</li><li>A self-starter with a “hop in and go” mentality, requiring minimal onboarding.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Bonus Points<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience with After Effects or similar motion graphics software.</li><li>Previous experience with AI video generating / editing programs (Google Flow, Canva Magic Video, OpenAI LTX, etc).
