Assist in the daily operation of the Hamilton Service Facility tooling warehouse.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Assist the facility to move, handle, prepare, and maintain tooling and tool kit inventory to meet our service site requirements.
Provide administrative support to order materials, tooling, transportation. - Operate appropriate job specific equipment banding machine, bar code scanners, and forklifts when moving, handling, preparing and maintaining tooling and inventory.
Maintain accurate storage of tooling/inventory in Siemens Energy online tooling database (TCTP) to help manage inventory accuracy, tooling certifications including stock location maintenance.
Understand packaging requirements to ensure appropriate storage/shipping of, and prevent damage to tooling/inventory. - Assist in the development and procurement of new tooling and/or tool kits. Assist in the development and/or printing of 3D printed tool kit inserts to better organize and inventory tooling in each kit.
Daily data entry of inventory and order documentation into system to maintain inventory accuracy, SAP or another ERP system, Fed Ex IP, Fed Ex IPD, Purolator, etc.
File and route documentation to appropriate departments for further processing. - Travel 5%. May include the requirement to drive a Siemens Energy service truck to drop off hand tools for testing at local vendors, hand carry of critical tools/parts to service sites, or over night visits to service sites to assist with the inventory of tooling prior to shipping.
- Must be eligibility to enter the USA for the purpose of visiting tool facilities, training or participation in team meetings.
What You Bring
- Familiarity of both hand tools and larger machine tools (hydraulic tooling, lathes, impacts, rigging) is an asset
- Familiarity of the care and handling of precision tooling is an asset
- Administrative and organizational skills to learn how to track documents, work orders, prepare shipping documents for delivery or international customs
- The ability to learn software used to order materials or manage tooling
- The flexibility to work in an industrial warehouse environment
- The ability to drive a fork lift is an asset
