About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Network Engineer to join their team in Hamilton . This role is critical for the oversight and advancement of the company's telecommunications network infrastructure, ensuring unwavering reliability, security, and scalability. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex network solutions, contributing to strategic projects that enhance service delivery to a broad customer base. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage robust telecom network infrastructure , including routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network performance and availability, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal service delivery. Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats. Participate in network capacity planning, technology evaluations, and upgrades. Collaborate with operations and engineering teams on network integration and support. Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network engineering, with a focus on telecommunications . Strong expertise in routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF) and switching technologies. Hands-on experience with network security concepts and implementation. Proficiency in network monitoring, analysis, and diagnostic tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are highly desirable.
