Overview

Join Jobscan as our Senior Growth Marketing Manager, Content & Lifecycle and help drive meaningful revenue growth while empowering job seekers to land their dream roles. Our editorial content and email programs are core, high-potential engines of our growth strategy, and you will own them end to end.

This is a senior, hands-on craft role for someone who loves executing in the weeds with sharp judgment, high AI fluency, and an unwavering quality bar, not a passive management seat. You will own our entire editorial surface (blog, pillar pages, and a new evergreen content hub you will help build) and turn it into a precise, high-converting growth engine across organic search, AI search, conversion, and lifecycle. You will also take ownership of our HireReady newsletter and build content-driven email acquisition. Partnering directly with the Head of Marketing, you will lead a small editorial team, elevate our standards, and turn content into a measurable driver of traffic, subscribers, and registrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full editorial content lifecycle across the blog, pillar pages, and a new evergreen resource hub: research, planning, prioritization, briefing, production, editing, publishing, and performance reporting.
  • Drive organic growth of editorial content through hands-on SEO and AEO/GEO: on-page optimization, internal linking architecture, content refreshes, net-new content, EEAT, and growing AI referral traffic, citations, and impressions without sacrificing traditional SEO.
  • Own editorial CRO: treat the blog and pillars as conversion surfaces, form hypotheses, run tests, and grow new registrations and email subscriptions from content.
  • Own the HireReady newsletter end to end: content strategy, weekly sends, subscriber growth, and performance, turning a large existing audience into a real marketing channel.
  • Build content-driven email acquisition: create lead magnets (reports, whitepapers, templates), embed opt-in strategy across content, and build welcome and nurture flows that convert subscribers into registrations, in coordination with our Lifecycle owner.
  • Create original, data-driven content using Jobscan's proprietary data and insights (comparisons, best-of, listicles, and research pieces) that only we can produce.
  • Pioneer AI-augmented production workflows using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor to accelerate execution velocity while maintaining a top-tier quality bar.
  • Lead a redesign of our blog and content page templates (structure, layout, UX) to improve SEO, AEO/GEO, conversion, and reading experience, in partnership with the Head of Marketing.
  • Manage and develop our editorial team (one full-time writer, one part-time contractor) and coordinate ad-hoc video content with a contractor.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Marketing on shared website acquisition goals: present priorities and rationale, manage work in Notion, and turn performance data into strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of growth or content marketing experience, ideally at a B2C product or content-heavy site (B2C SaaS experience nice-to-have, not required)
  • Elite content creation and editing skills, both producing high-quality writing and raising the quality of others
  • Hands-on SEO practitioner: on-page optimization, internal linking, keyword targeting, search intent mapping, cannibalization awareness, content scope and topic assignment
  • AEO/GEO fluency: optimizing for AI search and answer engines, building EEAT, and growing citations and AI referral traffic without sacrificing SEO
  • CRO instinct: can review a content page, identify conversion opportunities, run experiments, and iterate
  • Lifecycle and email marketing experience: newsletter ownership and/or content-driven subscriber growth, including lead magnets and welcome/nurture flows (HubSpot experience ideal)
  • People management experience: managing writers or contractors and running an editorial calendar
  • Strong AI/LLM fluency: uses Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools in daily workflow to compress production time without sacrificing quality
  • Comfortable working directly in WordPress; comfort with or curiosity about modern static site stacks (Astro/Vite) is a plus
  • Familiar with GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs (or SEMrush), and ideally one product/CRO tool (PostHog, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or VWO)
  • Self-directed and high-judgment: can take a surface, target, or opportunity and run with it without daily oversight
  • High quality bar: comfortable elevating content, design, and conversion standards across the site
  • Based in the US, with working hours that consistently overlap US Eastern time (EST, CT, or PT)
