Working closely with the HB Events team, you will oversee the many moving pieces behind each project—from production planning and vendor coordination to on-site delivery.</p><p><br></p><p>We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly and remains calm and resourceful in a fast-paced event environment. This is a contract opportunity with the potential for ongoing projects, increased responsibility and growth alongside HB Events.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the production and logistical planning of events from initial briefing through execution and post-event wrap-up</li><li>Translate the event vision and project scope into a detailed, actionable production plan</li><li>Develop and manage production schedules, workback plans, budgets, floor plans, event briefs and other project documentation</li><li>Source, brief and coordinate venues, vendors, production partners and contractors</li><li>Manage vendor timelines, deliverables, contracts and on-site requirements</li><li>Maintain clear, timely and professional communication with clients, vendors and internal team members</li><li>Identify potential challenges early and develop practical, proactive solutions</li><li>Prepare detailed run-of-show documents, production schedules and on-site team briefs</li><li>Lead event set-up, execution and strike, ensuring every element is delivered as planned</li><li>Direct vendors, contractors and project team members on-site</li><li>Monitor project details, timelines and budgets while maintaining HB Events’ standards for quality, service and attention to detail</li><li>Contribute ideas, expertise and recommendations that strengthen the overall event experience</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>A minimum of 10 years of professional event production experience</li><li>Demonstrated experience producing and leading sophisticated, high-end events</li><li>Strong event production, logistics and project-management capabilities</li><li>Established relationships with Toronto and GTA venues, vendors and production partners</li><li>Exceptional communication, organization and time-management skills</li><li>Confidence leading vendors, contractors and event teams</li><li>Excellent judgment and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure</li><li>A detail-oriented, resourceful and solutions-focused approach</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and a high level of service</li><li>Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a project team</li><li>Available for hybrid work and on-site events throughout Toronto and the GTA, including evenings and weekends as required</li><li>Availability to travel for select projects is an asset</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Contract Structure</strong></p><p>This is a flexible, project-based independent contractor position.
