Senior Director Nike Retail Sales

Responsible for defining and executing the global retail sales strategy for Nike Eyewear across Nike owned retail, strategic retail partners, digital marketplaces, and travel retail. This role owns global retail commercial performance and is accountable for driving profitable growth, strengthening Nike’s premium market position, and delivering consistent, elevated consumer experiences worldwide. As a senior leader, this role partners closely with Nike Brand, Marketplace, Merchandising, Digital, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure retail strategies are aligned to Nike’s brand vision, product priorities, and long term growth objectives. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in global retail leadership, omnichannel commercialization, and performance brand execution. Lead and inspire a global retail sales organization with responsibility for revenue, profitability, and excellence across all retail environments Own team structure, hiring, onboarding, performance management, development, and succession planning Establish annual and quarterly commercial targets and hold teams accountable to deliver results Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and consumer obsession Define and execute a global retail sales strategy aligned to Nike’s marketplace offense and long‑range growth plans Drive consistent, brand‑right commercial execution across physical retail and digital storefronts globally Partner with finance and planning teams to manage forecasts, revenue pacing, inventory flow, and margin performance Identify growth opportunities, risks, and corrective actions through regular performance review and analysis Own global retail distribution strategy to ensure brand‑appropriate placement, productivity, and market coverage Set clear guardrails for expansion and door prioritization based on performance and strategic alignment Align retail calendars, launches, and commercial moments with Nike’s global priorities and product roadmap Monitor and optimize productivity, sell‑through, inventory health, and overall commercial effectiveness Serve as a senior commercial partner to Brand, Product, and Merchandising teams Ensure retail assortments, price architecture, and go‑to‑market plans are aligned with Nike’s brand strategy and product vision Provide structured market feedback on consumer response, competitive dynamics, and regional insights to inform future strategies Champion seasonal readiness and flawless execution across all retail touchpoints Drive strong performance across digital retail environments, ensuring alignment between physical retail, digital commerce, and brand storytelling Partner with digital, marketing, and content teams to improve discoverability, conversion, and consumer engagement Advance omnichannel initiatives that enhance the total consumer experience and unlock incremental growth Lead execution of global and regional retail activations, launches, and key commercial initiatives Ensure consistent standards for brand presentation, consumer experience, and operational excellence Support training initiatives to elevate product knowledge, selling capabilities, and brand storytelling across markets Job Specifications Typically has the following skills or abilities Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; Minimum of 3 additional years of experience related to the functional area Minimum of 6 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of direct reports Proven success leading complex, multi‑region retail businesses with strong commercial outcomes Demonstrated experience operating at a strategic, global level Strong financial acumen with experience managing revenue forecasts and profit drivers Expertise in retail analytics, CRM systems, and data‑driven decision‑making Strategic, enterprise‑level leader with the ability to translate vision into execution Deep understanding of global retail and consumer behavior Strong influencing skills within matrixed organizations Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management capabilities Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving change at scale Working Conditions The working environment is generally favorable.
