Senior Audio Visual Technician
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AV Installation Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and testing of audio-visual systems at customer sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and to high quality standards. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, technically skilled, and customer focused.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience in construction industry preferred
- Knowledge in installation, service, testing/maintenance of projectors and related equipment.
- Control System knowledge in Crestron.
- Knowledge and tools needed for uploading Crestron programs.
- Able to modify audio programs ie. Polycom Polycom Sound Structure, ClearOne or BiAmp.
- Experience with Cisco Telepresence systems
- Must have experience with termination of RJ45, DB9, HD15, RCA.
- Able to read drawings and architectural plans.
- Rack building and wire management.
- Travel will be required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of work experience as an audio-visual technician
- Relevant College education to audio visual technician job duties is preferred
- Experience in AV installation or field engineering
- Familiarity with AMX, Crestron, Extron systems
- Experience configuring audio DSPs (Biamp, BSS/Crown, QSYS)
- Understanding of digital video switching and distribution (Crestron, NEC, Samsung, etc.)
- Basic IP network knowledge as it relates to AV systems
- Ability to train and support clients on AV equipment use
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Valid driver’s license required
Working Conditions
- Work at client locations and active construction sites
- Standing and walking for over 60 minutes at a time
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs of equipment
- Willingness to travel: 15% within Canada
Salary: $36.92/hour
