Senior Analyst, QA Automation
Job Description:
- Design test coverage and scenarios prior to UAT
- Validate that the solution addresses the customer's problem, not just the functional specifications
- Collaborate with developers and product managers throughout the SDLC
- Clarify requirements, quickly identify gaps, and define acceptance criteria
- Translate business and data requirements from URD, PRD and HLD into comprehensive test plans
- Recommend what should be automated and why, guiding coverage together with automation developers
- Analyze automation failures and follow up on results, discrepancies and priorities
- Prioritize tests and coverage with delivery management and stakeholders according to customer needs
- Manage tactical triage of defects and coordination during UAT
- Serve as the primary point of contact for issues reported by customers
- Review and execute tests using test management tools
- Provide recommendations on the appropriateness of automation
Requirements:
- 5+ years of quality assurance (QA) experience in a senior role
- Experience testing SaaS/cloud applications
- Deep understanding of the full SDLC and the role of quality engineering
- Strong experience with functional and end-to-end testing
- Excellent cross-module investigative skills and root cause analysis
- Experience coordinating tactical testing during pre-UAT and UAT phases
- Required experience testing APIs with Postman
- Comfortable reviewing automated results and analyzing failures in CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions
- Proficient with Agile methodologies and comfortable with fast delivery cycles
- Bilingual French and English required
- Interest in or basic knowledge of coding is an asset
- Experience with innovative SaaS products and familiarity with PRD documents are assets
