Job description

Our Sales Associates are responsible for effectively selling locally made products to our customers and for creating a well merchandised and fun place for our customers to shop. The ideal candidate is friendly and able to handle multiple priorities at one time while providing excellent customer service and promoting your love for all things locally made.

The ideal candidate is

  • Charismatic and Friendly: ability to start a conversation with strangers and build a rapport with customers and vendors
  • Adaptable: able to adapt well to changes in prosesses and technology as necessary
  • Punctual and Motivated: willingness to work and show up for shifts on time and as scheduled
  • Communicative: Able to effectly communicate both in written format and verbaly with vendors and customers
  • Dependable: reliable and dependable should other staff members call-out or when more shifts become available during the holiday season
  • Willing to Learn: ability to learn new skills via on the job training
  • Tech Savvy: able to learn new software programs with ease

Your responsibilities include

  • Helping customers and giving them a fun, and enjoyable experience when in our store
  • Opening & Closing the store
  • Occasional stocking
  • Cleaning and maintaining a presentable storefront
  • Data entry and other administrative duties as assigned
  • Ability to effectively work alone and as a team

Experience:

  • retail: 1 year (Required)
  • sales: 1 year (Required)
  • customer service: 1 year (Required)

This is a part-time position for our Lawson Heights Mall location and our Centre Mall location. We are looking to fill a position that will be scheduled to work a maximum of 25 hours per week with the possibility of picking up shifts should anyone call-out or need days off.

*This position does not work for students as open availability is required for the position.*

Lawson has free parking in front of the mall, as well as the back. Centre has free above and underground parking.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.35 per hour
