The successful candidate will have the skills, competencies, and capacity to support a broad range of stakeholders in delivering our pipe integrity program, helping maintain safe pipeline operations and regulatory compliance.</p><p></p><p><b>What you’ll do</b></p><ul><li>Perform defect assessment on dents and other pipe deformation anomalies (wrinkles, ripples, buckles, and ovalities) by analyzing relevant ILI data and pipeline information </li><li>Identify potential deformation defects requiring inspection and remediation from defect assessment; enter work units in Pipe Integrity Master Plan with relevant details for program planning </li><li>Ensure data quality and completion for accurate ILI analysis by collaborating with ILI vendors and internal stakeholders </li><li>Collaborate with other Integrity Threat teams to identify and manage threat interactions</li><li>Provide timely technical support to various teams (e.g, Pipe Operations, Operations Planning, Crossings, Assessment & Repairs, Regulatory groups, Special Permits, Capital Projects, etc.)</li><li>Support integrity excavation programs by providing technical guidance on safe excavation pressure determination and repair decisions, reviewing excavation results, and prescribe any follow-up integrity activities as necessary</li><li>Write engineering assessments, technical memos and reports related to deformation assessments</li><li>Support the US Dent Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA) program by identifying Dent ECA candidates and compiling Dent ECA packages</li><li> Support program implementation with data collections for key performance indicators (KPI), business metrics, and program/project planning.</li><li>Support regulatory engagement and reporting activities for Canadian and US regulators</li></ul><p><br /><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline</li><li>Registered, or eligible to register, with APEGA as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing</li><li>4+ years of pipeline integrity experience, knowledge and prior work experience on pipe deformation threat management</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Working knowledge of PHMSA 49 CFR 192 and CSA Z662 pipeline integrity-related requirements</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of data for timely deliverables </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to convey information effectively to a variety of stakeholders and to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment </li><li>Experience with analyzing ILI data, especially caliper ILI data, is a strong asset </li><li>Experience in coding and developing automation tools to process large amounts of data is a strong asset</li><li>Experience in Dent Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA) is an asset</li></ul><p><i> </i></p><p><b><i>This position requires candidates to:</i></b></p><ul><li>Have and maintain a valid drivers license and provide a drivers abstract (record) for review</li><li>Have current, valid authorization to travel to the United States</li></ul><p></p><p>To remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. #LI-Hybrid</p><p><i> </i></p><p>This position is not eligible for our domestic relocation program</p><p></p><p><b>About our business</b></p><p></p><p>We are a leader in North American energy infrastructure, spanning Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
