Role Description The General Labour, Shop Helper role is a full-time, position based in Mississauga, ON. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with parts handling, organizing inventory, packing and unpacking shipments, and maintaining a clean and safe shop environment. The role supports technicians and office staff by moving materials, preparing orders, labeling and documenting parts, and performing basic shop duties such as sweeping, waste disposal, and light maintenance tasks.

The Shop

Helper may also assist with data entry related to parts, simple documentation, and deliveries, while following company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, moving, and organizing parts and materials safely.
  • Basic inventory handling skills, such as counting, labeling, and storing items, with attention to detail.
  • Comfort using simple tools and equipment, and willingness to learn standard shop procedures.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, email communication, and working with simple inventory or shipping systems.
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow instructions and established safety guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with technicians, office staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to deliver and pick up packages using the company vehicle.
  • Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, or aviation environment is an asset but not required.
  • Assist technicians with cleaning of parts or any other shop related duties.
