Front Store Manager

<strong>Market Mall Pharmacy </strong>is looking for a <strong>full-time</strong> <strong>Front Store Manager</strong> to join our team in <strong>Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.<br><br></strong><strong><em>Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on the candidate's experience. </em> <br><br></strong><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Lead and support initiatives aligned with the store’s strategic objectives.</li><li>Adhere to and promote the Neighbourly Pharmacy policy manual, fostering a positive work environment that attracts, retains, and engages employees.</li><li>Oversee practices related to returns, complaints, store security, and employee discounts, delegating responsibilities where appropriate.</li><li>Manage or delegate responsibilities for cash handling, daily reports, banking, and deposits.</li><li>Ensure proper store opening/closing, alarm activation, and day-end procedures.</li><li>Oversee and manage all aspects of front store staffing.</li><li>In collaboration with HR, manage hiring, discipline, and termination as needed.</li><li>Oversee inventory control in line with budgets and preferred supplier programs.</li><li>Assist the Store Operator with budgeting, purchasing, pricing, and inventory strategies to maximize gross margins.</li><li>Set and execute promotional goals, including ordering and setup.</li><li>Monitor market trends and adjust promotions, product mix, or merchandising as needed.</li><li>Control shrinkage related to returns, payouts, theft, and pricing errors; ensure proper receiving and pricing procedures are followed.</li><li>Manage the Monthly Cycle Count Schedule and report inventory to the Neighbourly Pharmacy Inventory Manager.</li><li>Coordinate signage and POP materials, including placement of banners, promotional signage, and shelf talkers.</li><li>Miscellaneous tasks to support the Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>3 to 5 years of retail management experience (preferred), with proven ability to lead and train teams.</li><li>Strong people management and interpersonal skills, including motivation, delegation, conflict resolution, active listening, and respectful communication.</li><li>Professional attitude with excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, staff, and suppliers.</li><li>Valid driver’s licence required.</li><li>Criminal Record Check required<br><br></li></ul><strong>Schedule<br><br></strong><ul><li>40 hours per week (Full-time)</li><li>The store operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. </li><li>Regular shifts will be scheduled within these hours, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as required.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Compensation & Benefits<br><br></strong><ul><li>Paid vacation</li><li>Comprehensive health and dental benefits</li><li>Store discount</li><li>Bonus</li><li>Employee Assistance Program</li><li>Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)</li><li>Opportunity for career growth and professional development support<br><br></li></ul><strong>Who We Are<br><br></strong>Neighbourly Pharmacy is Canada’s largest and fastest growing network of community pharmacies.
