We are looking for an Electrical Project Manager (Buildings) to join our MEP team in the Markham office. This role is part of a growing Central Canada engineering group with exciting opportunities ahead. You will report to the Electrical Principal and work independently to manage projects from start to completion. ### What you’ll do - Lead design activities and mentor junior staff on all aspects of their work. - Attend design meetings and coordinate with other disciplines. - Ensure engineering quality standards are met on assigned projects. - Oversee development of design concepts and their proper execution. - Review designers’ work including specifications, reports, code applications, submittals, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings. - Apply risk management practices to all projects. - Lead the design team to produce schematic design, design development, tender, and construction documents – all on schedule and within budget. - Handle construction management: review shop drawings, progress drawings, and quotations; prepare change notices and site instructions; conduct site visits. - Write, study, and report on electrical system work. ### What you bring - At least 5 years of experience in the electrical consulting field. - Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license with PEO is preferred. - Multi-sector experience – healthcare, residential, institutional, education, commercial, and industrial – is a bonus. - Ability to lead and manage new construction, renovation, and electrical system upgrade projects. - Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Electrical Safety Code, and applicable CAN - ULC and CSA codes. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power. Point, Project) and electrical design software. - Auto. CAD experience is required; REVIT MEP proficiency is desired. ### Compensation & commitment to equity The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 – $120,000. Actual compensation depends on factors like skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
