The Lean Six Sigma<br><br>Black Belt is responsible for promoting a culture of continuous improvement across multiple sites with focus on autmation in logistics. The<br><br>successful candidate is accountable for fostering a culture of ongoing improvement at KN Contract Logistics locations and is responsible<br><br>for driving continuous improvement by demonstrating and applying Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles and methodology across these sites.<br><br>The successful candidate will also mentor and coach Yellow and Green Belts to LSS certification.<br><br><strong>How you create impact<br><br></strong><ul><li> Certifying and recertifying sites annually to ensure adherence to Lean Six Sigma principles and best practices.</li><li> Leading and facilitating Deep Dive Value Stream Analysis events to identify and address inefficiencies in processes and recommend innovation and automation logistic solutions.</li><li> Monitoring and leading Kaizens to drive efficiency and performance improvements.</li><li> Delivering training on YB/GB and KNExcellence to ensure common understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles.</li><li> Coaching and mentoring site Yellow and Green Belts for skill development and career advancement.</li><li> Executing LSS projects for performance improvement and cost savings.</li><li> Validating savings achieved through Lean Six Sigma initiatives.</li><li> Deploying KN Excellence site roadmaps for continuous improvement efforts.</li><li> Leading and managing a team of Lean Six Sigma practitioners.</li><li> Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data for projects that include automation.</li><li> Communicating project progress and results to stakeholders.</li><li> Identifying areas for process improvement and making recommendations that include automation.</li><li> Staying current with automation and innovation industry trends and best practices in the logistics industry</li><li> Collaborating with cross-functional teams.</li><li> Driving a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.<br><br></li></ul><strong>What we would like you to bring<br><br></strong>A strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools<br><br>Experience in contract logistics and 3PL processes, with knowledge of industrial and automated logistics systems, preferred<br><br>Project management experience, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams<br><br>Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.<br><br>Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating Value Stream Mapping (VSM).<br><br>In addition to a bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering the successful candidate have;<br><br>A minimum of 0-2 years of experience as a Lean Six Sigma Black/Green Belt, with 2-5 years of experience being the preferred benchmark<br><br>A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in contract logistics, with candidates having 5-10 years of experience being given preference<br><br>A minimum of 0-2 years of experience in a project management, quality management, process improvement, or a related field, with candidates having 5-10 years of experience being<br><br>given preference<br><br>Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.<br><br>A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from a recognized university is preferred, with a focus on Industrial Engineering being<br><br>desirable.<br><br>Proficiency in Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify and eliminate process waste<br><br>Strong coaching and mentoring abilities for developing Yellow and Green Belts, as well as direct reports for career growth and performance<br><br>Excellent networking and stakeholder management skills for aligning continuous improvement goals<br><br>Expertise in change management to lead and implement changes effectively.<br><br>Ability to lead and facilitate complex Lean events, including Kaizens and continuous improvement projects.<br><br>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address inefficiencies and non-value-added activities.<br><br>Project management skills to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.<br><br>Effective communication and presentation skills for various organizational levels in KN as well as Stakeholders.<br><br>Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology and certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black/Green Belt<br><br><strong>What's in it for you<br><br></strong>At Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to inspire, empower, and deliver not only to our customers, but also to our colleagues. Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and dental benefits, a retirement savings plan, and tuition reimbursement. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
