Administrative Assistant(Evening)

Job Description:

Medix College is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Toronto Campus. In this dynamic role, you will have an immediate impact on people and embody our Core Values daily by providing day-to-day support to our students, graduates and staff.


Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing secretarial, clerical, and administrative support in order to ensure services are provided in an effective and efficient manner. This role requires exceptional Customer Service skills since it is a position that is front facing with students and staff daily.


Essential Functions

  • Provide administrative support to all departments
  • Answer phone calls and take messages
  • Handle inquires
  • Keep track of administrative supplies and stock when necessary
  • Enter, update and maintain records within the college's CRM
  • Write verification letters
  • Order books
  • Assist with collecting and submitting police checks and immunizations
  • Assist with orientation of new students
  • Take payments from students and visitors
  • Maintain open line of communication with all departments
  • Work professionally in a team environment
  • Other duties as requested by the Campus Director


Position Requirements:

Formal Education and Job-Related Experience:

  • This position requires a minimum formal education of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with database applications and Microsoft Office
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Private Career Colleges preferred
