Account Manager — Commercial Laboratory Solutions

Job Description:

  • Work within the assigned territory to meet sales and profit commitments for the Laboratory Diagnostics division's products.
  • Manage interactions and sales across all customer levels for the specified target account (executive leaders, procurement managers, laboratory managers, biochemists, medical laboratory technologists, medical directors, etc.).
  • Prepare complex product procurement proposals and responses to competitive tenders, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • Identify and develop business opportunities for healthcare solutions as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Prepare overviews of CLS and SLS products and solutions and present them to healthcare leaders.
  • Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of the customer database and contract information by keeping the customer relationship management (CRM) system up to date.
  • Work with the Business Development Manager to create and update account plans for key opportunities, as well as regional sales and sales-funnel forecasts.
  • Maintain a high level of product, technical, competitive and healthcare market knowledge, and continuously develop personal effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Siemens Healthineers teams across applications, field service, enterprise management, project management, healthcare solutions, finance and legal.

Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree with a specialization in health sciences, medical laboratory technology, or another related discipline.
  • Full professional fluency in French and English.
  • Five years of successful technical sales experience in diagnostics or a related field (medical devices or healthcare).
  • Proven ability to grow market share in a highly competitive market.
  • Customer- and results-oriented drive and attitude.
  • Excellent negotiation and risk-management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and influencing abilities.
  • Knowledge of hospitals and diagnostic testing procedures.
  • Experience in laboratory diagnostics (preferred).
  • Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to present technical subject matter.
