3D Environment Artist for Unreal Engine

Yumebau (www.yumebau.com) is looking for a talented and passionate 3D Environment Artist to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating stunning, immersive environments for our next-generation games using Unreal Engine. You will work closely with our design and programming teams to bring our game worlds to life. Your work will be instrumental in creating a compelling player experience. We need someone who is not only technically proficient but also has a strong artistic vision. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality 3D environments and assets using Unreal Engine.
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure the artistic vision is realized and maintained throughout the game.
  • Collaborate with the programming team to implement assets and environments into the game engine.
  • Optimize 3D assets and environments for efficient real-time rendering.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges.
  • Continually improve your skills and stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies.
  • Provide constructive feedback on the work of other artists and contribute to the overall improvement of the team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years AAA game team experience as a 3D Environment Artist.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine and Substance is essential; Houdini and Perforce experience preferred.
  • Experience with other 3D modeling software such as Maya, 3DS Max, or Blender.
  • Strong understanding of lighting, texture, and spatial design principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A portfolio showcasing your ability to create high-quality 3D environments.
  • Passion for video games and a strong understanding of what makes a game environment compelling.
